The duties of a construction superintendent will vary; however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.
Asphalt Paving Experience is required.
Summary Provide technical expertise throughout the Pre-Construction process.
Participate in the Constructability review.
Assist in the management of the Pre-Construction Schedule.
Have involvement in the estimate.
To provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects.
Collaborate with engineers, Subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed according to the contract.
Monitor project schedule and budget.
Site safety and quality guidelines.
Resolve on site issues and emergencies.
Work Experience Requirements Previous experience as a construction superintendent for at least 2 years.
Knowledge of local quality, safety and health guidelines.
Understand site plans.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lead and inspire.
Asphalt & Paving Project Management experience required Certified Heavy Equipment Operator, Blue Card ETC.

Bilingual Spanish- English will be a plus.
Supervisor Project Manager Responsibilities Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
Communicate with project team regarding projects.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Review the plans and specifications and advise the project team of issues or deficiencies.
Understand the contract between and the owner.
Understand trade contractor and supplier contract scopes.
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

Ensure the correction of any deficiencies identified.
Walk all projects assigned daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
Preside over weekly meetings designed to coordinate the work.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.
Identify areas of work that are outside of the job scope described in the contract.
Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
Establish the punch list process and close-out procedures with the project manager, owner and any other party involved.
Mentor and train other employees as necessary.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Safety Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, to adopt safety as a culture.
Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's Safety Program.
Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
